DESCRIPTION:Local Registration Closing!! Register for the 2026 Local Soap Box Derby which will be held on Saturday\, June 20th! Piedmont Area Soap Box Derby has cars available to loan to your interested racer! Come by on Sunday\, May 3rd from 1:30 to 4:30pm at Paul Bates Raceway. You’ll be able to get a car assigned and begin working on it to fit it to your potential racer. Weather and time permitting your child may be able to have their trial runs and earn their racing license on May 3rd! Please bring a chair and/or a pop-up tent which MUST be secured to the ground and at least 5 feet from the guardrail. Concessions will be available\, or you are welcome to bring your own food and drinks. No grills or alcohol please. Furry friends are a safety concern during the races. If you bring a pet\, it must be leashed and under adult supervision at ALL times. No pets inside the building or in the Pit Area.
